Location: Durbanville Hills, Cape Town
The Project Manager will interact with Engineers, management and consultants. The employee will be responsible for projects from the inception to invoicing stage.
Responsibilities:
Quote Phase
- Management will pass on an RFQ
- Conduct service design and development as per GR_PRO_041
- Gather all info on the scope as inputs
- Identify other inputs, not supplied by the customer
- Generate outputs
- Input vs output gap analysis
- Management review
- Cost project using Project Cost Record (PCR) sheet template
- Draft quote and issue management for approval
Project Phase
- Management will advise when PO is received for a project
- Review costing and verify no increases or issues
- Request PO’s for any third parties
- Schedule and coordinate third parties and any of their shipping requirements
- Identify any specialist tooling requirements and have these engineered / manufactured / procured
- Meet with Ops manager and select project team
- Direct Travel Co-Ordinator on requirements for flights, accommodation and welfare
- Budget per diems and advise Finance Manager
- Draft equipment packing list with Ops Management review
- Coordinate with stores for equipment and consumables requirements.
- Coordinate with stores for packing
- Provide draft CIPL to Logistics
- Generate project and QCP in the OPTIMUM Program or using excel templates and GR_PRO_051
- Conduct pre deployment meeting with entire team
- Deploy to project and execute the scope
- Direct tasks to technicians using OPTIMUM Program
- Report daily on progress and update PCR daily
- Identity any non-conformances and report to Quality Department
- Direct any technical queries to the engineering team
- Manage technicians and third parties
- Close out meeting with customer on conclusion of scope
- Signing of completion notes / time sheets
- Signing of Customer Satisfaction note
Completion of Scope:
- Assist finance department with invoicing
- Conduct after action review
- Assist to close out any NC’s
- Ensure all documentation packs are provided to the customer within the agreed time frame
Skills:
The following are the minimum skills required to perform the function:
- An advanced knowledge of at MS Word and MS Excel
- Excellent written communicator (email; whats app; Wunderlist)
- Excellent level of English, both written and oral
- Organisational skills, Time management
Qualifications:
- Project Management Qualification or Engineering qualification.
Experience:
- Two years’ experience in an engineering environment, preferably in Project Management position.
- Must have Ship Repair, Heavy Engineering or Oil and Gas background
