RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Maintain Bookkeeping records and managing journal entries.
  • Accurate data processing – Creditors / Debtors.
  • Creation of Purchase Orders.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Tax reconciliation and submissions.
  • Age Analysis reconciliation.
  • Tax reconciliation and submissions.
  • Administrative tasks.
  • Credit Applications and vendor on-boarding.
  • Any financial reports as requested by management, including full monthly / yearly closing as per management request.
  • Financial Audits as per management request.
  • Customer invoicing and follow up in recovery as per management request.
  • Cost controller/ jobs.
  • Assisting with any accounting and financial related tasks.
  • Cash flow management.
  • Payroll processing and payroll tax submission.
  • QHSE audits.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree, Diploma or related other financial qualification (CPA, FMVA), with 3+ years Relevant working experience.
OR
  • Proven industry related proficiency based on 5 years of experience.
  • Candidate must be US Citizen.

SKILLS

  • The following are the minimum skills required to perform the function: Fluent in English – Spanish is a Plus.
  • Advanced experience in MS Office programs.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP (IFRS is a plus).
  • Knowledge and experience in accounting.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with office management procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and office management software (Sage is a plus).
  • Perform accurate work to the highest standards of accountancy.
  • Able to complete work to deadlines with little direct supervision.
  • Driven, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
  • Strong critical thinking and mathematical reasoning skills.
  • Position applicable for residents of Louisiana / those that can commute to our offices in the Port of New Iberia
