RESPONSIBLITIES
- Maintain Bookkeeping records and managing journal entries.
- Accurate data processing – Creditors / Debtors.
- Creation of Purchase Orders.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Tax reconciliation and submissions.
- Age Analysis reconciliation.
- Tax reconciliation and submissions.
- Administrative tasks.
- Credit Applications and vendor on-boarding.
- Any financial reports as requested by management, including full monthly / yearly closing as per management request.
- Financial Audits as per management request.
- Customer invoicing and follow up in recovery as per management request.
- Cost controller/ jobs.
- Assisting with any accounting and financial related tasks.
- Cash flow management.
- Payroll processing and payroll tax submission.
- QHSE audits.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree, Diploma or related other financial qualification (CPA, FMVA), with 3+ years Relevant working experience.
OR
- Proven industry related proficiency based on 5 years of experience.
- Candidate must be US Citizen.
SKILLS
- The following are the minimum skills required to perform the function:
Fluent in English – Spanish is a Plus. - Advanced experience in MS Office programs.
- Knowledge of US GAAP (IFRS is a plus).
- Knowledge and experience in accounting.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with office management procedures.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and office management software (Sage is a plus).
- Perform accurate work to the highest standards of accountancy.
- Able to complete work to deadlines with little direct supervision.
- Driven, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
- Strong critical thinking and mathematical reasoning skills.
- Position applicable for residents of Louisiana / those that can commute to our offices in the Port of New Iberia
