Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and lead the purchasing department activities.
  2. Develop and implement purchasing strategies.
  3. Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure the best prices and payment terms.
  4. Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock.
  5. Approve purchase orders and invoices.
  6. Analyse market trends and new products.
  7. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  8. Train, mentor, and evaluate the purchasing / shared services team members.
  9. Reporting and maintaining open Purchase order lists along with forecast payment due dates.

Qualifications

  1. Matric or equivalent.
  2. Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics.

Skills

  1. Speak English, with good level of both written and oral communication.
  2. Knowledge of purchasing and inventory management software.
  3. Strong negotiation skills.
  4. Proficiency in financial analysis and budgeting.
  5. Knowledge of supply chain management principle.
  6. Leadership and teamwork skills.
  7. Strategic vision and problem-solving skills.
  8. Self-motivated and continuously improving on processes and personal improvement.

Experience:

  1. Minimum two years’ experience in similar Supervisory role.
